Printing from VFP 9.0beta to Netware Queue

Hello,

I am running a FoxPro 2.6 DOS application. This application prints out to various printers hooked up to a Netware Print Server.

I am seeking to upgrade the PC clients to Visual FoxPro so that development on newer capabilities can take place. I have been working with Visual FoxPro 9.0 beta on a Windows 2000 PC. After ironing out connectivity problems between DOS, W2K, and Netware, I can now run the DOS 2.6 version of the application and print successfully. For DOS I use a capture command to capture a Netware Print Queue to an LPT port , then I SET PRINTER TO LPT*

Through this process I have been trying to get the VFP9.0 version to run the old code and print. I can run the code and print, sort of. I access the Netware Print Queues directly using SET PRINTER TO \\ServerName\QueueName. Using LPT port doesn't work for the Windows version.

The problem is that VFP always submits two print jobs instead of one. This results in two Form Feeds hitting the printer before the actual print job does. This means that I lose two sheets of paper for every print job submitted. That won't be good for invoices and such.

I'm not sure if the problem resides in Windows or VFP, but it seems that it is a VFP issue. I can print to a Netware printer that I have defined as a Windows printer without incident (e.g. printing a text file from Notepad).

Is anyone aware of a setting or environment variable that would relate to a printing issue like this? I have done a dump of the environment settings and cannot yet find anything suspicious. Is this merely a beta-related problem?
