Browse All TopicsI am developing a VFP9 form to replace BROWSE functionality in a FoxPro DOS 2.0 environment. I am attempting to using a GRID to look at the data in a DBF file and update one field (a boolean represented by a Checkbox in the grid or .T./.F. in the DBF).
I am calling the form during a program that takes in a few pieces of data and processes my base tables to create a new table, which I am trying to browse/update with the GRID. The data environment is already existing when I call up the FORM. I am using the Default Data Session (not a private one).
When just using the default drag and create grid (no explicit porgamming) I can view the table as a "1 - Alias" RecordSourceType. This uses a cursor and does not let me update the base table. I have set the column, grid, and cursor ReadOnly properties to .F. to no avail.
I have tried using direct SQL Statements in the RecordSource/Type properties of the Grid as well as the Form.Init() method. I cannot get this method to even bring up the data yet.
I have been browsing the solutions here for a day and haven't found that golden nugget of information that I need yet. Can anyone help me out here?
