After upsizing what next ?

Asked by Andy-IWD2 in FoxPro Database, MS SQL Server, Database

Tags: microsoft, foxpro, 9, equivalent of access attached tables, foxpro, 9

I've inherited an application written in visual fox pro 9. It's a standard application as far as I can tell, local foxpro data tables etc. Client wants to use SQL server as the data source so we've run the upsizing wizard but now what ? It's created a new SQL server database with the tables in but now we can't see what to do next. How do we tell foxpro to use the new tables etc. There doesnt' seem to be an equivalent of the Access attached tables functionality in foxpro We can happily make a connection (world icon) and we can create remote view etc., but often these aren't updatable due to the rows not being unique (not my database design!).

Can anybody suggest an idiots guide ?

thanks,
Andy
