Sending data to a USB device
How can I send data to a signboard (Adaptive Microsystems) connected as a USB device?
I've been using signboards with 9-pin serial interfaces, and using MSCOM to transmit data to COMx But with a USB port, being a bus with up to 127 devices, COM no longer applies. Some USB devices have drivers which implement a virtual COM for sake of compatability, but that is not the case with this signboard; it's driver ("USBbulk") does not provide a virtual COM port.
Thus, I need to know how to communicate with the USB device (signboard).

although it's still serial there is no easy way to convert code addressing a device via COM to USB. If the device driver does not have an API you're quite unlucky. Either ask some Device Driver Experts for USB Devices and the API to handle these devices, but I doubt there is a generic way. I'd contact the device vbendor ans aks for an SDK.
