Fox Pro Report Generator

In any of the report that I do using the Report Generator it seems to double space anything in the detail band as it rolls through the whole table that it is reporting on. Does anyone know how to set that for single space.

I suspect that you may need to narrow the detail band by clicking and dragging the boundary so that the band itself is just the width of the tallest detail data item.

Yes, the Report Wizard makes the line distances higher than they should be sometimes.

In addition to norrowing the detail band you shoud move all its objects up.

To update the Report Wizard behaviour is possible, the source code is available in Tools\xsource\xsource.zip (you should download the latest version first)

Either the height or width is not correct or maybe you imported some unicode data which is saved as double spaced.

Also to note on pcelba's second case, the data might have CHR(10) OR CHR(13) which only happens in import in some formats. I get this when importing some weird CSV files for example.

You have to make sure there are no extra CHR(10) and CHR(13) or maybe there is another field causing an extra line in yur report.

To remove the CR and LF
STRTRAN(STRTRAN(query.field,CHR(10),''),CHR(13),'')

Or simpler way:
CHRTRAN(text, CHR(13)+CHR(10), "")

But I still think it is too wide report detail band. You could also check the "Field can stretch" or "Stretch with overflow" setting for your report fields.
