I looked, but it is not what I need, as the user may be using another non-Adobe driver.
If I may modify my questiona bit . . . .
Can I supply a file name and path for the pdf "SAVE" dialog box ?

I find that instead of using Adobe, I use another PDF Print driver which allows me to pre-configure the PDF Print driver to ALWAYS output to the same directory and the same filename. I generally pre-configure it to write to a local directory to prevent accidental over-writes by other users.
In that way I am never presented with a SAVE AS... dialog box - nor any other dialog boxes.
Additionally once the PDF file has been created my VFP application always 'knows' where to find it and what its name will be so it can then be moved , if necessary, to another directory location and, again if necessary, renamed along the way.
There are a number of PDF Print drivers out there and many of them are free.
The one I am currently using is BullZip but there are many that you can choose from.
Good Luck
You can use a program like PDFCreator to save automatically pdf : http://sourceforge.net/pro
Bullzip is free for personal use and commercial use for up to 10 users. It allows printing with either a SaveAS prompt or a default (local) destination path and file name, which you can see as a temp output you can copy afterwards to the final destination path of course. I think you can even set some registry value to change output destination before printing. At least you don't have that SaveAs dialog, if you don't want it.

There are so many and all of them except Adobes PDF printer allow you to set the output path... PDFCreator, PrimoPDF, CutePDF. I tested quite a lot and in my experience CIB PDF Brewer did the best job in printing everything. Some test document other PDF printer drivers failed on, was a XLS file (Office2003) with graphics in the page header or footer, which did print with PDF brewer. It's not free but worth it's price.
Bye, Olaf.
When we have said above - FREE, we assumed that you understood that we meant 'royalty free'.
"the user may be using another non-Adobe driver"
Adding another PDF Print driver which is configured for use by your VFP application is no problem.
it is no different than if the user were using multiple printers, merely choose the one you want to use for that specific print job.
A PDF Printer works within Windows.
To VFP it is merely one more 'printer' and it works will all VFP versions.
To use it your VFP application generally temporarily changes the workstation default printer to the PDF Print driver, 'prints' the report, and then changes the workstation default printer back to its original setting.
After that it can move the PDF file to another directory and rename it as it does so.
Good Luck
"no known problems" - Depends how ou define that. They work as a printer driver each, so in general they work and are as problematic or not as any printer driver. The involvement in Foxpro is SET PRINTER TO NAME ... and that's it, not much you can fail upon. Most PDF printer drivers except the one from adobe offer a way to set the output path and filename and they of course differ in their output size and have all different features supporting compression, quality, encryption and other settings you can imagine about a PDF file.
What PDF printer driver you take depends on your requirements. Testing with several documents helps finding out, if there are any issues, eg consider what I said about graphics in the header/footer of XLS or also word DOCs not being printed by all PDF drivers.
Bye, Olaf.
