Hello,
I am installing MS Dynamics CRM v4.0 under Windows 2003 Server 64-bit. I already have MS SQL Server 2005 and applied the upgrade to v9.0.3054 (minimum requirements for CRM 4.0).
I've gone through the Reporter Services Configuration Manager and configured the Web Service Identity. Opening a browser to
http://sqlserver/reportserver properly authenticates with my domain\Administrator account (for testing purposes).
During the setup wizard (in CRM) I've resolved all other requirements _other than_ the following:
Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
- Setup failed to validate specified Reporting Services Report Server
http://sqlserver/reportserver. Error: The request failed with HTTP status 403: Forbidden. The request failed with HTTP status 403: Forbidden.
I've seen a few other articles on EE, but none address this error specifically.
In the Event Viewer on "sqlserver" in the Application log I do see two events. These are:
==========================
==========
====
FCB::Open failed: Could not open file C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\
MSCRM_CONF
IG.mdf for file number 0. OS error: 2(The system cannot find the file specified.).

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

==========
====
FCB::Open: Operating system error 2(The system cannot find the file specified.) occurred while creating or opening file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\
MSCRM_CONF
IG.mdf'. Diagnose and correct the operating system error, and retry the operation.

Does this have any relevance to what could be causing the problem? Is it that I have to create a database first on the SQL server (I thought the CRM setup should do that?), is it something not configured in the Report Server, or something else?
Thanks in advance for the replies! I've been trying to resolve this since early yesterday and can't find any articles anywhere on this.
Thanks,
-Gregg
