I am in the process of redeploying a SBS 2003 server for the one and only purpose to do an upgrade from crm 3.0 to crm 4.0 and move that server to a different machine since this upgrade cannot be done on the old machine (insufficient hardware specs).
On the old machine I had upgraded from SQL 2000 to 2005. So I thought I would install SQL 2005 now (without going through the SQL 2000 upgrade process) and then install CRM 3.0 rightaway. But then I get error messages in the installation prerequisites screen, concerning the SQL Reporting services:
1. website for installing the SQL server reporting services standardwebsite already contains virtual directory Reports or Reportserver (well of course, I just installed SQL 2005 with default instance of Reporting services server, which is up and running)
2. Following databases already exist on the SQL server: ReportServer and ReportServerTempDB (which is also true)
So what is the problem. Is there an easier way to move the CRM database from the old machine to the new one?
