Dynamics Users Not Able to Log in

Asked by simplemojo in Microsoft Dynamics, MS SQL Server

Tags: , , ,

A little while ago, we moved Dynamics v7.00g3 running in SQL Server 7 to a new Server 2003 R2 server.  Since then, about once a month, users complain that they cannot log in.  On the server, I open Enterprise Manager and click on the SQL Server.  When I do, I receive the error: "The SQL Server is not known to be running. Are you sure you would like to connect?"  I say yes and it connects fine.  I do see a red squiggly line through the name of the server.  I then launch Dynamics on the SQL Server and log in as SA.  Once I do this, the users are then able to log in. Any ideas why this is happening.  All help is appreciated.Start Free Trial
