Installation pre-check shows all green.

Uninstalled more than 10 times, deleted databases on SQL and report server, deleted all CRM program files...

Any ideas, please?

Hi

>> The system cannot find the path specified.

Go to start --> run ---> inetmgr ---> goto default website ---->  expand the node  ---->  can you see a virtual directory with report server.

If you are not able to see the  virtual directory.
Create one virual directory(reportserver) , in default website  pointing to report server folder. ( c:\programfiles\<<Microsoftsql serever>>\\ <<just search for reportserver folder )

Hope this helps.

Hi

Thank you for your reply.

I uploaded some screen captures, hope they help...

There is no reportserver page under Default Web Site but reportserver seems to be working, at least after successful login reportserver page opens fine.

Best Regards
Mika

Hi

 I had same issue with one of our client. I created a virtual directory with reportserver pointing to reportserver folder << I dont remember exact path of report server forlder>> c:\programfiles\sqlserver\mssql1.0\sqlreportingservices\reportserver<<(hopefully this may be right>>

This will surely resolve this issue "The system cannot find the path specified".

OK, so the good news is that SRS reports publishing is the last thing, AND you can probably ignore it.  This will get CRM to start working for you.  You will need to figure out the SRS issue at some point though and republish the reports (but no sense in your killing yourself re-installing over and over).

So the tricks to getting SRS and CRM playing nice are:

  • You should from the CRM server be able to pull up ReportServer WITHOUT any errors or authentication challenges AND without using localhost.
  • When you configure SRS, the databases should not be in Sharepoint Integration mode.

Looks like you are using HTTPS in the one URL, are you requiring SSL on the ReportServer site?  Can you give us an idea about the URL and the SSL involved?

I'm not very familiar with CRM 4, I have it installed on old server couple of months (SBS 2003 and SQL 2005) mostly testing purposes. I don't think I have used any reporting features so far.

So I wasn't sure if this error could be ignored and still get working environment?

Everything else seem to be okay but when I open http://192.168.1.10/Reportserver (through VPN tunnel) user name and password are asked. I probably should change this?

If I ignore the error at installation, how do I republish the reports later?

ok, so you're on the SBS 2008 box, so a few other details:

  • What is running SRS (in the services?) and the Application Pool? (Web Service?)
  • Who are you logging in as, and what rights do they have? (assuming if you log on to the server you must be Domain Admin)
  • If you go to http://localhost/Reportserver do you get prompted? (is there a certificate error?)

Qwerty0,
I just had the same issue on my SBS2008 machine. I can tell you that CRM 4 does not want to look at a local SQL instance for the setup. In other words, you're going to need to setup a 2nd server with your back end database.

What I did was setup MS Virtual Server on my SBS2008 machine, loaded Win2003 server on my virtual setup, load SQL on that, and the install for CRM4 was flawless.

I tried for a week trying to do what you were doing and never could get it to work. I just don't think it's possible..........

Thank you all for your replies.

So it looks like CRM4 is not intended to be used same box (at the moment, I hope :) with SBS 2008 and SQL 2008?

Anybody ever really done that installation before without any errors?

And still would like somebody to confirm, if I choose ignore (Publishing CRM reports) at installation and use PublishReports.exe instead, could this cause some problems later?

Hi

We were able to install windows 2008 ( domain) and sql 2008  in same machine  and successfully did it .

but not in SBS 2008 above proposed solution was for windows 2008. So thought it will apply   on sbs 2008

Did you try  solution  I gave you.

I have also done multiple installs with Win 2008 and SQL 2008, but not SBS2008.  I know CRM 4.0 initially didn't like being installed on a Domain Controller, but they have fixed this since the initial files.

I would reconfigure SRS using the most vanilla settings possible (use network service and accept the defaults for ReportServer and Report Manager setup)  Apply the default settings.  Make sure you aren't getting any errors.  You should be able to hit http://servername/reportserver FROM the CRM server and when you are automatically logged in, then republish the reports.

Obviously I indicated to ignore the error and proceed, so my confirming won't allay your fears, sorry :).

by: qwerty0Posted on 2009-02-27 at 12:06:47ID: 23759192

I have now installed CRM 4 with SBS 2008 + SQL 2008.

Original error came up during installation and I ignored it.

I then tried to use PublishRepots.exe but it didn't work either, it gave me "begin" (or something like that) and nothing happened.

Then I installed finnish language and reports came there (names are in finnish).

When I now try to run a report, "Execution 'xujre32ceroz2hrn2rxzfv55' cannot be found"  comes up. If somebody knows what to do to it I would like to hear...

But everything else works fine, I have used CRM now about week with my desktop and laptop.

There was an issue with laptop Outlook client but I was able to resolve it (the problem was: The configuration wizard cannot connect to the Microsoft CRM server. This might indicate that the server is down).

But like I said, everything else works now fine and I am able to use this great software again.

So were you able to connect to the http://servername/reportserver from that server?  (I got to thinking that likely SRS installed to the default website and there might be a requirement for SSL on that one)  what do you get when you go to that URL?  How about from a workstation?

I don't have a ton of experience with the language packs, can you tell me what languages the OS, SQL, SRS, CRM are?

by: danielnetPosted on 2009-04-29 at 09:29:00ID: 24262170

qwerty- did you find a solution to the Execution... could not be found error? I too am having the same issue on a SBS2008 box with SQL2008. It is running in Native mode and I can run the reports (e.g. User Summary Report) from http://localhost/reportserver with no problems. But when I try within CRM, it all goes wrong!

Anyone else have something to add to this post? I am having the same issue.

Thanks in advance.

Hi.

Thanks Daniel, your post helped me, and everything works now!
I can access reports now from Outlook.

What I did was:
- I uninstalled/reinstalled reporting services (I didnt select Sharepoint integrated mode)
- Installed Update Rollup 4 for CRM4
- Used PublishReports.exe (my reports are in finnish, they seem to be working fine)
- Then I followed Daniels post (SetupSrsDataConnector.exe)

So now I can tell that SBS2008+SQL2008+CRM4 works in the same machine although I dont know if it supported by Microsoft.

Hi all

I have found a workaround for this....  Apparently it is a known issue, without a known cause. See below...

 ** UPDATE **

 ** UPDATE **
 ** UPDATE **

PROBLEM:
 When running any reports from CRM I am getting the following error message:
 Error: Execution 'jiad0g55p3sr5jbno1ziv445' cannot be found

CONFIG:
 The server is running WinSBS 2008 + SQL 2008 with SSRS + Dynamics CRM 4.0 with Rollup Patch 3.
 SQL Server Instance: MSSQLSERVER
 Instance ID: MSRS10.MSSQLSERVER
 Edition: ENTERPRISE EVALUATION EDITION   <-- (Was only installed recently and am awaiting the media kit)
 Product Version: 10.0.1600.22
 Report Server Database Name: ReportServer
 Report Server Mode: Native
 Report Server Status: Started
 Service Account is Local System
 Web Service URL is http://IABSERVER:80/ReportServer (listening on all ip addresses, no SSL etc)
 SQL Server Name: IABSERVER
 Database Name: Report Server
 Report Server Mode: Native
 Report Server Database Credential: Service Account
 Login: Local System
 Password: *************
 Report Manager URL is http://IABSERVER:80/Reports
 No execution account specifed

 I can run a report from SSRS directly using the following method:
 I go to http://IABSERVER:80/Reports, click 'Show Details', click IAB_MSCRM (IAB is the ORG name within CRM), at this level I  have a folder called 4.0 and a datasource called MSCRM_DataSource. (This datasource has no dependents). If I click on 4.0,  and then I am presented a list of reports and at the bottom is another datasource called MSCRM_DataSource and this one does  have dependents. I then choose {ddf24ca0-a622-de11-9a63-002219aac63f} which relates to the 'User Summary: View user contact  and security role information' report. This opens absolutely fine using this method and shows me the report.

 But I cannot run the same report from within Dynamics CRM:
 I go to CRM (when working directly on the server) > Workplace > Reports > Double Click User Summary > Run Report (with no  additional criteria) then immediately it will show me the following error message inside the Report Viewer Control   Execution 'aiii5i55mcnsnbi5svjj4u55' cannot be found

 The unique identifier 'aiii5i55mcnsnbi5svjj4u55' changes if I hit the refresh button and when I right click the report   window and choose properties the address comes up as http://localhost:5555/Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd?...

I am logged in using the domain administrator account and have checked CRM security roles etc all full permissions granted.

STEPS TO FIX:
 1) If running SQL 2008 check if the the Data Connector is installed (from the CRM cd/media)

 Run the setupsrsdataconnector.exe and pass it the install-config.xml file which now looks like this:

 <crmsetup>
  <srsdataconnector>
    <configdbserver></configdbserver>
    <autoupdateconfigdb>1</autoupdateconfigdb>
    <reportserverurl>http://IABSERVER/Reportserver</reportserverurl>
    <
autogroupmanagementoff>0</autogroupmanagementoff>
    <instancename>MSSQLSERVER</instancename>
    <configsku>OnPremise</configsku>
    <!-- Set enabled = true for DB webstore integration.  Set configdb="true" for config db webstore integration-->
    <webstore enabled="false" configdb="false" />
    <monitoring>
<!-- Monitoring service account name and password. It can not be local system or network service account -->
      <serviceaccountname></serviceaccountname>
      <serviceaccountpassword></serviceaccountpassword>
    </monitoring>
  </srsdataconnector>
 </crmsetup>

 2) Important: After running the above, do an IISreset on the server.

I thought the Data Connector was only for running reports when using SQL and CRM on two separate servers and technically I was right. However, it appears that some situations where this error has occurred have been resolved with the installation of the Data Connector. The cause is unknown at this point, but tends to be more apparent in SBS2008 environments.

I hope this helps you all.
