Currently it will not work with FireFox on a mac without using the mobile edition of CRM or using an emulator on the mac (not simple or quick). Our temporary workaround until MS supports other browsers is as follows:
1) to use vmware & run a virtual windows machine - works quite well & if these are sales people that do not always have an internet connection - you can configure CRM to support offline mode.
2) Use terminal servies to connect to an application server running Office & CRM for outlook. This is easy to support and works with the Mac just fine.
3) Use FireFox on the Mac to connect to the Mobile edition of CRM - that is cross browser compatible and works with FireFox and Safari.
