Getting an error "Invalid Argument" when attempting to create a Quick Campaign.
1. Open an account.
2. Under Contact I click 'Create Quick Campaign' - for all record on current page (to help in testing all the contacts are known to me and are real people)
3. Click Next
4. Enter name "Test."
5. Select 'Email', leave everything else as defaults. Click Next.

I then get the "Invalid Argument."

From your error message I see this ...

Exception message: Condition for attribute 'activitymimeattachment.activityid': expected argument(s) of type 'System.Guid' but received 'System.DBNull'.

Which means that it could not get the GUID and instead passed a NULL value, which is why its puking on you.

Can you tell me more about the server config (OS, IIS Version, etc)?

Rakesh..
I do not know. We contracted a company to do the 1st build of the CRM, and then have had contractors to special projects from time to time. What would be a quick way of checking?

WIth that they found something with the emailform.aspx

by: pdesjardins1Posted on 2009-12-15 at 17:07:14ID: 26058948

Problem Solved.

Seems way back in CRM 3.0 while we were playing with the Email Form we deleted the Attachments tab (which you can't do in CRM 4.0). Once the tab was deleted we re-added the tab with the same name. Looks good on paper, however this 'new' tab had a different identity number. So the quick campaign could not find the tab it was looking for and crashed.

by: bdemoePosted on 2009-12-29 at 09:31:17ID: 26139509

So how did you fix it?   Did you modify the guid in the database or did you recreate the tab?

by: pdesjardins1Posted on 2009-12-30 at 11:17:19ID: 26148091

Yes, we were able to modify the customization file and change the GUID back to 4fbc42ac-d18c-4132-9fa7-89f8d0bb0e0c.

by: pdesjardins1Posted on 2009-12-30 at 11:18:17ID: 26148096

Not in the database but in the customization file, then import the customization.
