How do you do a hyperlink for a table i.e. new field for opportunities on the notes tab that refers to an internal file stored on the network using the UNC file path? We tried uding the URL datatype but it attaches the http:// to the front of the path when you double click it. If you suggest we write code on the form could you indicate how to find the form and load it and import it back in (is there a way to save the original as a backup?) Thanks for the help in advance.

Taking bckup
Navigate to Settings-> customizations -> export customizations -> select opportunities -> "export selected customizations" (tool bar button) -> save the file in local folder, rename customizations.xml for better identifcation
Import customizations
Navigate to Settings-> customizations -> import customizations -> click browse button -> point to the customization file you are going to import -> select upload -> after uploading navigate to customizations selction again and "publish" the newly imported entities
I think you could acheive hyperlink using Lookup entity, create a new entity, add a attribute called path and attach it as a lookup on opportunity form (using N:1 relationship)
