Unfortunately, the Standard and Professional Editions of Visio no longer include the capability to "forward engineer" a database. You can "reverse engineer" -- i.e., create a Visio representation of an existing database -- but you can't create a database from a Visio ERD.

Forward engineering requires a special version of Visio -- Visio for Enterprise Architects -- that is only available with Visual Studio and an MSDN subscription. See the note in the middle of this help page:
