Thanks tbsgadi.
I did have a look at that one. I tried it as a .bat file but that didn't work and I didn't see where to ask a question of the author to see how to use it.
Any idea?
Cheers

Thanks.

I see. The original post from Scott is a Visio macro, not a batch file. What you need to do to get this running is the following:
1. Start Visio 2007
2. Click File, New Drawing to get a new drawing document
3. Select Save As, and save the file in the same directory where you have the file to convert.
4. Select Tools, Macro, Visual Basic Editor
5. In the VB Editor, select Insert, Module.
6. Paste the code from Scotts solution in the code window on the right hand side
7. Hit the save button. (You could run the macro from here too)
8. Close the VB Editor
9. Select Tools, Macro, Module, SaveAsVDX
and this will run the macro, opening all .vsd files and saving them as vdx as you are looking on. If there are any prompts, you need to respond to these.
I'm late coming to the question (busy moving my daughter into her dorm room for her senior year!) but oldviking has told you exactly what you need to use the code I supplied in Q23227765. I'm not looking for any points here, but if you need to have the macro modified in any way, just let me know.
