Link an Excel List to a Visio 2007 file and bring the items in order that they are entered
I have a list of companies for an org chart and I want to bring them into Visio 2007 to create an org chart and in the order they are entered. They being created in random order.

I don't know whether the org chart wizard lets you specify the order in which the "subordinates" appear on the chart. If you haven't already done so, I would experiment with the "unique id" field (refer to

If your list of companies doesn't have a unique ID field in your Excel file, I would insert a column and use Excel to number the rows to see whether that allows you to influence the presentation order.
