Shapes change color when inserted into document

Shapes in the built-in stencils often contain color.  However, when I insert them into my document, the color sometimes disappears.  E.g. The "Bath and Kitchen" stencil has sinks with blue in them.  When I insert one, it revert to black and white.

This isn't a bug with my installation, as it occurs on all Visio installs I've seen.  Any idea why it occurs?  I would like to have the nice colors if possible.
