Cannot Send Email

Asked by Isisagate in Outlook Groupware Software, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)

When I try to send email out of an email account I get the following error

Sending reported error (0x80042109): Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet Service provider."


If I ping the mail server it pings fine. If I telnet it in to port 25 it's working fine. I've shut off all outlook extensions with no luck, I' put outlook into safe mode, I recreated one of the email accounts with no luck.

I don't have firewall software installed, and window's firewall is disabled.

I have AVG free addition installed.
