Lost emails from Outlook Express Compacting
Yesterday while Outlook Express was compacting my email files, my computer shut down before completing the process. My child turned the computer off. I have several email folders and most of the folders are fine except for three folders. I assume the compacting is done in alphabetical order since the three folders with problems are lowest in the alphapet (closer to Z). When I try to open these email folders, nothing appears, as if the folder is empty. However, when I right click on these folders, the file size indicates that all my data is still in the folder. How can I "find" these emails from the "damaged" folders?
I use Windows XP Pro.

Venabili,
Please give the points to War1.
I appreciate all the help I get from E-E members, especially these, like War1, who are so very, very giving of their time and knowledge.
I had chimed in here because I was in the same boat as dhardyman. I never got my 3 months of e-mails back.

It is a split. BEcause in this case the answer is "Sorry, you cannot return them"
