PST (Personal Storage) usage is disabled on this computer - How can I enable it?

Hi

Using Outlook 2003, on an Exchange Server, I am trying to create a personal storage folder (.PST file) however I am getting the warning message

"PST (Personal Storage) usage is disabled on this computer"

Needless to say, the PST file cannot be created.  What is the setting I need to change to enable the creation of the PST files?

By the way, I should mention that the Registry value is as follows

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\

Value Name: DisablePst
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1

Is it just a matter of deleting this item or changing he value to zero or something else..?

I would check with the network admin first, as it may be implemented from the server for a reason.  Even if you do enable it, if it is domain policy then it will get implemented once you reboot.

So I deleted the registry entry and I am now able to create a PST.

Further to this, I did shutdown and restart just to see if it was domain policy and thankfully it is not.  Appears it was set up this way on this particular terminal at some point.  No matter as it is now working correctly so that I can effectively store email in a separate .PST file on a separate server without exceeding the Exchange storage limit...
