I have a client who is suddenly having problems with Outlook 2007 (After a few changes we made). OL2007 is starting and stopping, flashing "Not Responding" at the top of the screen.
P.S. Internet and all other programs function properly.
I tried to undo all changes made:
- Reset MSCONFIG so that all startup programs ran (I had disabled some clearly unnessesary programs, to try to speed up her laptop performance)
- Uninstalled Activesync (which was just installed in order to set up sync with smartphone. We were able to get the phone to sync successfully after opening ports in the firewall)
OL2007 continued to have the problems. So next we:
-Ran Office Diagnostics. It found no problems or errors
-Did a system restore to the point prior to all my changes. This did not resolve the issue.
My best guess is that it's something related to the sync that took place between the Smartphone and Outlook, since the updates to the PST would be the only changed variable at this point. However, I ran SCANPST and even though it found and fixed errors, the problem was not resolved.
