Another thing you can do is:
Open Outlook holding Ctrl key, this will open your Outlook in Safe Mode - after that, go to Help then Detect and Repair. This may reinstall and solve most of commom with your installation.

1. Reset the Outlook toolbar template. With Outlook close, do a search for and rename outcmd.dat file. Do the same for frmcache.dat and outprnt files. Restart Outlook.
Outcmd.dat is located in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Applicatio
2. If no joy, register two important Outlook files. Go to Start > Run and type regsvr32 OLE32.DLL
Do the same for INETCOMM.DLL
3. If no joy, an addin could be interfering. Disable Outlook Addins. Do a search for and rename extend.dat file. Then try to open Outlook.
4. Check if an external program running in the background is interfering with Outlook. Check Firewall, antivirus, antispyware, antispam, and all Norton programs. Disable these programs one at a time.
5. If no joy, create a new Outlook profile.

If the above issues didin't help, this may, I have seen this issue several times this month on different networks after the installation of Windows Server 2003 SP2. This should resolve several issues such as: TCP/IP Chimney issues, error # 0x8004011d , Unable to open Outlook default folders, etc.
If you have recently installed Windows Server 2003 SP2 on the Exchange server, then check out this KB article: http://support.microsoft.c
You can also do following instead.... from command prompt (on Exchange server):
Netsh int ip set chimney disabled
Then open the public network card open properties\advanced, change checksum offload to none.
Then dont panic, it can take 2 or 3 minutes to allow new connections. Using netsh does not require a reboot. This must be done to all servers in an exchange cluster.
Let me know if this resolves your issues

Delete the OST files and the Exchange account within Outlook. Then recreate the Exchange account and a new OST file will be created with all of your email fromt he Exchange server. Should solve the problem.
