Windows Vista machine, Runnign Windows Vista Business. Office 2007 Small Business loaded on system. Likely OEM.
WHen we close out of outlook 2007 with the red x, it seems to stay running by design. When we go to File/Exit, it should close out permanently.
It stays running in the background wiht a OUTLOOK.EXE process in captial letters in Task Manager.
Running Vista Business.
Ran Office Diagnostics, Came up with nothing. I can end task on the process and it quits fine.
I know that clicking on the red x leaves the program functioning in the background but on my other computer when I click on File, Exit, the Outlook process isn't running after a few seconds. It closes like normal.
On my desktop, it stays running after everything is closed. I removed Google Desktop, and other apps I thought might be conflicting or keeping the process open.
I added the advanced toolbar to Outlook 2007 and then tried to close it again, that time the process closed.
I took it away and it closed again fine. But normally during the day the process stays open and the backup won't complete. Any ideas?
