Dropdown lists - Displaying colour & text format
Hi,
Excel 2003 or 2010 - Data Validation of (dropdown) List re text with a background colour & font size.
When an item is selected from the list, is there any way to:
(1) bring across the colour?
(2) display dropdown list (when selecting) as a larger font size?
I just realised that re (1) I could probably put conditional formatting on the target cells, which would be based upon the populated cell from the selection. Correct? I would prefer it just to come across with the selection, if possible & without VBA code?
Per (2) I know the user could zoom out the screen so they could actually see the drop down list content, but that is very inconvenient.
Thank you.

For the sake of this database: As for the target cell colour, I have used conditional formatting with one rule per list item (excel 2010). Hence, the conditional formatting occurs once the item is selected from the list . Works a treat.
That's good.
However, for the "sake of this database", the answer to your question is the comment with ID: 39558100 above.
[Object] button clicked.
Yet again, I object.
However, it seems pointless.
