Comes down to the same as what I'm doing now, maybe just cuts down on the keyboard time. I'm happy with your answer... Technically speaking, VhdResize does do what I'm after, however I want to keep the question open for another day or so, in case there is a way to do the conversion without cloning (sector by sector copy operation).
