Hi there
We have a lab environment comprising of a number of servers running Hyper-V Server and 1 server running Windows 2008 Server (Server A) to manage these Hyper-V Servers.
On Server A I have also installed System Centre Virtual Machine Manager 2008. This is confirgured with all the relevan Hper-V hosts, ect.
Recently I installed ForeFront Threat Management Gateway 2010 on Server A. All seems to be working but I seem to be having issues with the SCVMM. When I try and refresh a Hyper-V host I get the following errors:
Error (2916)
VMM is unable to complete the request. The connection to the agent hypervhost1.mclab.co.za was lost.
(Unknown error (0x8033810f))
Recommended Action
Ensure that the WS-Management service and the agent are installed and running and that a firewall is not blocking HTTP traffic. If the error persists, reboot hypervhost1.mclab.co.za and then try the operation again.
I have rebooted all the Hyper-V hosts. I have removed the "Enforce strict RPC compliance" in the TMG System Policies. It seems that something is still causing issues.
I am aware that in normal circumstances, one would not but these 2 products together, but any assistance would be appreciated to resolve or workaround this problem
:)
