Hi there,
Any of you guys (m/f) know if its possible to move a SCVMM installation to another domain i.e. join another domain than the one it was originally installed into and then subsequently use the SCVMM for administrating the virtual machines in the new domain?
And if so is there anything to it other than disjoin old domain / join new domain?

I primarily use the SCVMM for P2V conversions at our various domains and usually I have to dump the newly created VM on a different host anyway, so it wouldnt be that much of a hassle to me if I had to meddle with the host agents.
But what I hear you saying is that it can be done and the only hiccup are the agents?
My laptop i run has VMM running on it. When i start a new project i usually have to first migration off of a physical server my temporary solution so i can free up resources to convert the rest of the server to virtual. I am always disjoining and joining new domains to do this. I have not had any problems but i am sure this is a unsupported method in production, meaning you leave the temporary VMM server up in production.

Actually I've done this but only for testing. If I recall I had to deletethe agents to the host then redeploy them after. In production I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling
