MS Virtual Server 2005 R2 running on W2k3 Ent. won't recognize add'l RAM for W2k3 Ent. VM

Asked by johntmcii in Microsoft Virtual Server 2005

Running MS Virtual Server 2005 R2 Enterprise on a 32-bit W2k3 Enterprise OS with 16GB RAM (recognized by the host) and trying to increase the RAM to 8GB for a Virtual Machine running W2k3 Enterprise.  When trying to increase the RAM in the Web Virtual Server Admin tool, the tool limits the "recommended" maximum RAM to 3712MB.  PAE is enabled on both the host and the server.

How do we get the Virtual Server to recognized the RAM that is available to it on the host?Start Free Trial
