Where does the file named $ARA2.TMP under documents and settings/administrator/local settings/temp on each virtual machine come from?

Asked by rsb1962 in VMware, Windows 2003 Server, Microsoft Virtual Server

We have 5 vms running WinXP using VMWare Server 1.06 running on Win 2003 Server R2.  On each VM, under documents and settings/administrator/local settings/temp there is a file named $ARA2.tmp that has been growing as big as 25GB.  Can you tell me what this file is, what is causing it to grow this large and how to prevent it from getting this large in the future?
