I have a solution that includes quite a few projects
when I open the solution I get the folowing error on a web project that is part of the solution.
message dialog caption says:
Web Access Failed
--------------------------
---- message dialog body says --------------------------
----
The default Web access mode for this project is set to file share but the project folder at
'
http://localhost/MyProject' cannot be opened with the path 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MyProj
ect'. The error returned was:
Unable to open Web project 'MyProject'/ te file path 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MyProj
ect' does not
correspond to the URL '
http://localhost/MyProject'. The two need to map to the same server
location.
What would you like to do?
(Radio button option1) Retry using a different file share path
Location: ['C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MyPro
ject'] [...]
(Radio button option2) Try to open the project with FrontPage Server Extensions
(Radio button option3) Work Offline
--------------------------
---- message dialog body end --------------------------
----
when I tell it to use FPE it comes back with another error pointing to a log entry that says
Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions:
Received empty response from Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions
and lets choose only file share again
choosing file share with the same path opens the project without any problems.
closing Interdev and reopening with the same solution wors fine.
If I restart my computer and start Interdev again the whole thing repeats itself.
I have a feeing it might be some services issue but I don't know how to resolve this.
the World Wide Web Publishing service is set to automatic.
anyone has an idea how can I stop this from happaning ?
