SQL 2005 Upgrading to SP3, database portion errors out - Error 1023, MSI installer

hello, below is the error i'm getting on trying to upgrade sql 2k5 to sp3.  everything upgrades fine except the database portion...

Product: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - Update 'Service Pack 3 for SQL Server Database Services 2005 ENU (KB955706)' could not be installed. Error code 1603. Additional information is available in the log file C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix\SQL9_Hotfix_KB955706_sqlrun_sql.msp.log.

can you post log file mentioned?

also one potential solution could be a download problem, please ensure that you run the setup package from local hard disk with the admin privilege.
