I will presume that Both the Report and the Form have the exact same recordsource.
On the form button that opens the report put code like this:
DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord
DoCmd.OpenReport "YourReport", acViewPreview, , , , Me.Filter
...Then on the Report Open event, put code like this:
If Not IsNull(Me.OpenArgs) Then
Me.Filter = Me.OpenArgs
Me.FilterOn = True
End If
...This basically passes the Form's filter to the report.
