Cognos - Create PowerCube

My company new using 2 different version to generating Powercube with transform - TRNSFRMR command.

My db (dbase) totally have 270 columns. it is okie if I using transformer 6.5 to create power cube but error message: cannot open the .dbf file (too many fields defined) if I use transformer 7.4

anyone could help to solve this problem?
and also may I know the max no. of column could use in transformer 7.4 in order to generate cubes?
