Custom Validator not working inside update panel

HI There,

I'm trying to use a custom validator inside an update panel. It does not seem to be firing at all so I was wondering what approach I should take given:

1. I have multiple validators on the page
2. the validators for the most part are inside usercontrols / masterpages
3. I really need to use the update panels with the forms inside them.

Can someone give me some ideas for a work around  they have successfully used? Source code, links
