Hi All,
I lead a team of developers, most of which are self-taught with knowledge very specific to the industry in which we work (Insurance & Finance). We build internal enterprise apps for use by anything between 10 and 4000 staff concurrently. We currently work off a SQL 2000 platform, with front-ends built in Excel 97, further fronted by an XML framework.
We are currently migrating all of our self-built tools (around 30 odd) to new servers using SQL 2005, and we plan to rebuild / reconfigure the majority of our tools within .Net using Visual Studio 2005, either into a FAT/'Thin' client, or into a web app hosted through a webserver.
Clearly this is a massive project which will likely take the rest of this year, or perhaps longer.
My question is therefore, can anyone point me in the direction of online/offline resources & training that will upskill my people from their current ability, to .Net / SQL 2005 / Web-App capabilities?
Will happily pay resonable fees here, but material must be relevant to my team's knowledge gap, as distinct from generic resources.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Jell
