The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Cannot open Crystal Reports in VB.Net app hosted on Citrix PS4 Servers.

I have created an app using VS2005 and the built in CR.  I created a separate project in the same solution for my Reports, but I have them as stand alone and they no not get compiled so I can update them easier.

I have packaged the app and added what I think are the required dll's.  It has been installed on a Citrix Presentation Server version 4.  The app runs as well as can be expected on Citrix...but when I try to view the reports it errors out and closes the app.

I have added in exception handling for "unhandled exceptions" (handling unhandled exceptions ;)) and so it gives me my error message, takes a screen shot of the app and sends me the stack trace in an email.  I have posted the stack trace below.  Obviously, I think I need that dll, but I couldn't locate it on my pc anywhere.  Did I do something wrong with the setup project?  Also, if I want to istall this on a local workstation, will I have to add that dll as well or is that just because of Citrix?

I have seen a lot about merge modules, but I am not sure what the are and didn't think I needed they since my reports project does not get compiled.

Any help is appreciated...wish I could offer more points.Start Free Trial
