The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Gamecrash Flatout2 due to Microsoft Visual C++ error.

Hey,

The problem you are about to read about was already sent to Empireinteractive (creator of game) and Microsoft, but they had no solution for it. I hope you guys do have one.

Recently I bought Flatout2 for the pc.
My computer passed the requirements and I was able to play the single player mode without any problems.

My pc specs are:
Pentium 4 2.6 ghz
1024 MB DDR
ATI RADEON X800
Windows XP SP2.0

But when I tryed to 'create' or 'join' a LAN-game, the game instantly crashed due to an error that has something to do with microsoft visual C++.
I tryed to update to version 1.2 (latest) but that didn't fix it.
An other guy which want to play a LAN-game with has no problems, but I do.

The exact error is:
--------
Debug Assertion Failed!
Program: D:\program files\Empire Interactive\Flatout2\flatout.exeFile:
C:\program files\microsoft visual studio 8\vc\include\list (this map doesn't even exist)
Line: 776

Expression: list erase iterator outside range

For more information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the visual C++ documentation on asserts.
(ABORT) - (RETRY) - (IGNORE)
-------------

I have no idea how to fix this, perhaps I should update visual C++ or something but I haven't got the knowledge to do it myself. If you have any information that might help me, I will appreciate it, and if you need any more information for me, just let me know.
Regards,
