Hello

I have problems on installing a service using InstallUtil.exe. Currently, Im studying on how services work so what i have done is i created a project using Visual C++.NET and i choosed a service template under project type. I didnt put any extra codes or controls to the project. I just compile it so that it would produce an executable *.exe file. Then i locate the executable file, install it using installutil.exe using the command filename.exe -install. Then installutil generates a log file and at the end of the log file states that The Transacted  install has completed. Then i tried to view the service that i just created under the services.msc but i could not find my service is displayed. Im also not so sure what is my service name and i just assumed that my service name would perhaps be the same name with the executable file. Since I could not view the service i created under the control panel administration tools, i tried to start the service using a command which is "net start filename" and it indicates that the service was started successfully. And then i try to stop is using the command "net stop filename". It also succeeds. Thus, i assume that there would be no problem of the installation since my service can be started and stopped using the command line. The problem is, why I cant see my service name displayed at the services.msc? I would like it to be displayed where I can start and stop it just using the window. I also can set it as automatic start. Hope anyone can help me? Thanks
