How to bulid a billing engine in dotnet which works with trakhealth?
Zones: Programming for ASP.NET, Microsoft Visual C#.Net
I have a requirement that i need a billing engine which gets all the billing details from trakcare and computes the results and the sends the results back to the trakcare.Trakcare is a hospital related software.i have ensemble in between trakcare and dotnet system as interface.Can anyone tell how ?For information about trakcare and ensemble u can refer www.intersystems.com and www.trakhealth.com

This is such a massive question and you're asking about bespoke systems, I can't see there being much help here without more information. On what you have provided, I would say that you could create a Web Service that Trakcare could expose, but without more information this is very general.

This billing engine needs to calculate every billing related issues,process them and send it to trakcare system.I am taking for example if a patient joins as inpatient in a hospital a bill wil be raised with his name and thereafter he visits the doctor,a consultation fee will be added to his bill,thereafter he gets some medicines from pharmacy,that amount will also be billed, thereafter his roomrent,what facilities he used in the hospital as an inpatient and a final bill will be raised.Thereafter if the patient is under company's mediclaim or some related policy he will be discounted the bill and final bill will be issued to patient.Like this the outpatient is also billed and given the bill.All this billing related information regarding discounts and all must be calculated by the billing engine.Can u tell me how to do this?

Ok, i will build the web service but how to make the webservice communicate with the trakcare.The interface between trakcare and webservice would be ensemble.Could anyone tell me how to connect webservice(Billing Engine) with the ensemble?
