Apologies to EE for the keywords in the title, but I can't stress enough how urgent this problem is. Yesterday afternoon my project was in the process of building (debug) when the computer BSOD. Now when I build the project I see the following in output:

ion/'.

ges/'.
and that is as far as it gets. devenv.exe in system processes is around 50% and has been there for some time. In fact I tried leaving it to build overnight, but I have come in this morning and it is in exactly the same place.
Things I have tried so far:
1. Rebooting (obviously!)
2. Deleting and recreating the master pages
3. Deleting the training .sou file
4. Applying hot fixes KB946344 & KB46581
5. Creating a new project and copying the pages over to it (freezes in the same place)
