Troubleshoot importing DBF files in SQL 2000

Asked by winsoftech in MS SQL DTS, FoxPro Database, Windows XP Operating System

Hi,

I want to import some .dbf files to SQL server 2000 database. I am facing a proble while importing that Import/Export wiozard of SQL doesn't show the list of tables from the foxpro database files.
Following are the steps I followed:
1. Each file contains a MEMO filed. First I removed the MEMO filed from view->Table Designer.
2. I saved the dbf file. (One thing I noted is when I save the DBf file after modifing table structur, MS visual foxpro removed the FPT file correspoing to DBF file.)
3. Created a SYSTEM DSN with database type as 'Free table Directory'.
4. Started Import/Export wizard and selected the driver as MS visual foxpro and selected the SYSTEM DSN just created.
5. Proceeded further after selecting destination database.
6. After this the screen showing the tables from source data source is empty. Hence I cannot proceed further.

Please help. A urgent reply will be appriciated.
