Open DTS 2000 package error

I am getting the following error on opening a dts package on sql 2008 64 bit machine. anyone have any ideas to fix it.

    Have you opened a DTS package in 2008 before? Or is this your first attempt to do so?

    According to BOL, there is no support for DTS in 2008 64bit. Here is the link.

    Limited DTS Functionality on 64-bit Operating Systems

    There is no 64-bit design-time or run-time support for DTS packages. On a 64-bit computer, DTS packages, and Integration Services packages that run DTS packages, can run only in 32-bit mode. To run DTS packages in 32-bit mode, you have to install and use the 32-bit version of the dtexec utility (dtexec.exe). To install the 32-bit version of the dtexec utility, select Client Tools or Business Intelligence Development Studio during setup.

    I think this is not an issue on all DTS packages...I am able to open some DTS packages but i am unable to open some that imports data from another server...at this point i have turned it back to the person who created the DTS packages...thank you for your response though..
