This will do it. I am assuming that you are refering to a Fiscal Year that starts on 10/1 since that is the date in your example.
FYI, CURRENT_TIMESTAMP is the recommended (ANSI standard) way to get the current date as opposed to getdate() which most people use. I am trying to swith over to it, but you can still use getdate() if you like.
