I am trying to format a date from mm/dd/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy

How can I convert the date from American format mm/dd/yyyy to australian format dd/mm/yyyy.
I want to display this data in an asp page..

Currently I have a recordset called rsRet and to retrive the data I use rsRet("theDate") how can I convert this to use teh dd/mm/yyyy format.

select convert(varchar(10),(convert(datetime,stringdate_mmddyy,101),103)

You may also want to more globally change the date settings.  If so, you should check out sp_helplanguage, SET LANGUAGE, and SET DATEFORMAT.

since you are using recordset, i suggest you to change regional date format setting in control panel.

if you want set these format in sql u can use other comments. but if u want to set these format in asp you can use these function.
