The error message I've gotten back in my cnfsvr.out file is: "an error occurred while attempting to start the service (1460)"
I've tried some basic recommendations from microsoft, making sure that the Server service is running, and that my File and Print Sharing is enabled.
I also checked that on my XP system, I'm listed as an Administrator, and I've specified during the install my own account and password for use with the service.
Using the "System Account" got me the same result.
I need helping getting this successfully installed.
Thanks,
Kevin

Note: this is the MSDE from Office 2000. According to what I've read, it's supposed to be compatible (the rest of Office 2000 is...)
