Browse All Topicshi i have 6.5 sql on nt 4 trying to get the services started to restore a db but upon starting the sqlserver service i get a event id 17060, it says in log file that it cant allocate spae for syslogs, failed to create tempdb , error 1105
and in the service window when you try to start the service it fails and a dialog pops up with error, event id 2140
?any ideas?

You have got enough space on the partition SQL is installed on, i.e. the drive where the tempdb resides
