Browse All Topicsi have couple of dependencies on a table.
I used sp_depends to identify the dependencies on this specific table which lets me know that there is a stored procedure. But to my experience i know that there is some other process that uses the same table i don't know any other way to identify this.
Basically what i need is to find which objects are using a specific table in entire database when we pass table as parameter, even in dts packages, jobs etc.
Thanks,
Harry

sp_depends is a "shot in the dark". It doesn't always return all dependencies.
s where routine_definition like '%yourtablename%'
To find views the table is used in, you can use this:
select * from information_schema.views where view_definition like '%yourtablename%'
To find stored procs:
select * from information_schema.routine
As far as the DTS packages, about the only way is to save them (each one) as a VB file and then search the VB code for that table....
There is also a varchar(4000) limit on the information_schema views above, so if the proc or view is longer than that, it's going to get chopped off.
