If you do that often, you will like to do it per SQL:
restore filelistonly from disk = 'c:\temp\olddb.bak';
restore database newdb from disk = 'c:\temp\olddb.bak';

Assuming that the .BAK file is a backup, just right-click on Databases, select All tasks and restore the database. Select From Device then click on the Select Devices button. Click on the Add button and browse for you BAK file. If you're getting a specific error message, post it.
