The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Restoring differentials

Greetings,

I have a database that I restore my weekly full backup to every weekend.  It is my "hot restore" standby database.   It is restored in NORECOVERY so that I can apply a differential + transaction logs to it if need be.

My question is, can I restore a differential to this database everyday ?  I run differential backups every night and it would be nice to have a database in a constant "previous day" mode.  

If I could do this, I might be able to restore it in no recovery + read only so that I can focus reporting queries to it.
