The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Data Transfer between tables

Asked by babak62 in MS SQL Server

Tags: data, tables

Hi:
I have 2 tables like this:

b2b_item_details

2      item_no      varchar      255      0
0      image      varchar      255      1
0      cat_name      varchar      50      1
0      brand_name      varchar      50      1
0      item_desc      varchar      100      1
0      item_colorname      varchar      50      1
0      item_price      decimal      9      1
0      item_qty      bigint      8      1
0      item_size      varchar      10      1
1      style_no      varchar      50      1

b2b_war_item_details
0      w_name      varchar      50      0
0      cat_name      varchar      50      0
0      brand_name      varchar      50      1
0      item_no      varchar      50      0
0      item_qty      decimal      9      0
0      item_price      decimal      9      0
0      style_no      varchar      50      0
0      item_size      varchar      50      1
1      item_color      varchar      50      1

I need to copy data from b2b_item_details to b2b_war_item_details but first in the destination table I need to

set the first column "w_name" to "LA"
cat_name               to            cat_name
brand_name           to            brand_name
item_no                  to           item_no
item_colorname      to            item_color
item_price              to            item_price
item_qty                 to            item_qty
style_no                 to           style_no
item_size               to           item_size

and in destination table delete rows and insert new records if any duplicates.

Would you please help me with this.

Thanks
